M-Line
Our dry amenity range, specified to cut plastic: bamboo, wood, cornstarch, kraft paper and cotton in place of film and polypropylene, packed in perforated card boxes. Two items are still film-wrapped, and the specification says which.
Dry amenities are where most sustainability programmes quietly fail. A property moves its wet amenities to 300ml refillable dispensers, publishes the reduction, and then puts a bamboo toothbrush in an OPP bag inside a shrink-wrapped carton. The single-use plastic comes back through the dry side of the bathroom.
M-Line is specified to close that gap. Items are packed in a perforated cream card box rather than an OPP bag, and where a sachet or pouch is needed it is kraft paper or cornstarch. The toothbrush handle and the comb are bamboo; the razor handle is wood; the loofah is cotton.
This matters for a specific reason. Terre de Mars does this job on the wet side — refillable formats that count toward Green Key, Clé Verte and EU Ecolabel. No property reaches those standards on wet amenities alone, because the audit looks at the whole bathroom. M-Line is the dry half of the same argument.
Because M-Line is our own brand, manufactured to our specification rather than bought in, the range is configurable. A property can take the full eleven items, a subset, or a co-branded version carrying its own identity — and the specification can be adjusted where a brand standard demands something different.

Packing Perforated cream box · vanity kit and shoeshine sponge film-wrapped
Eleven items
Dental kit
Bamboo toothbrush with black bristle and 10g toothpaste. No OPP bag, perforated cream box.
Shaving kit
Wooden razor, double stainless steel blade with a cornstarch cover, and 8ml shaving cream in a kraft paper sachet. 50×80mm.
Vanity kit
Two cosmetic pads, four cotton buds, a wooden stick and a nail file, in a film bag.
Shower cap
Cornstarch material, supplied without an OPP bag.
Comb
Bamboo.
Loofah
Cotton, 10 × 14.5cm, in a cornstarch bag.
Mending kit
Six pre-threaded colour threads, six needles, a safety pin and two organic buttons, in a cornstarch sewing kit.
Nail file
12cm, emery board on one side.
Sanitary bags
Cornstarch material.
Shoe mitt
A quick shine for shoes and leather goods without polish or brushes. For the guest with a meeting in twenty minutes.
Shoeshine sponge
The same job in sponge form, for properties that prefer it to a mitt. Both are offered so a brand standard can specify either.
Two items are wrapped in plastic film: the vanity kit and the shoeshine sponge. We state that rather than round the range up to plastic-free, because a sustainability auditor will find it and a brand standard should be written against what is actually in the box.
Properties with something to prove
Certification programmes
Green Key, Clé Verte and EU Ecolabel assess the whole bathroom. Dry amenities in film are the line item that costs points.
Groups with a published commitment
A single-use plastic pledge is measured against what housekeeping actually puts in the room, not against the press release.
Four-star and upper-midscale
Specified alongside M’STQ on the wet side, the whole bathroom moves without moving to a luxury cost base.
Slippers and robes are supplied too, though not under the M-Line brand — see dry amenities and the full portfolio.
