Bed linen, towels, robes, filled bedding and bone china from Small World Textiles. Egyptian cotton sateen at 500 thread count, Supima and Portuguese towelling, and a dining range in fine white bone china.
Muir is the house brand of Small World, a global home textiles business founded by Henry Rawson, who left the UK for Hong Kong in 1990 and built a company designing, sourcing and manufacturing for department stores worldwide. In 2000 he launched his first branded collection, Margaret Muir, named after his grandmother. Muir is the line that followed.
Where things are made. The towels, bath mats and robes are made in Portugal. The Signature towel range uses Supima, the trademarked American extra-long staple cotton. The bedding is Egyptian cotton. Muir is imported and distributed in the region by Small World Textiles Trading LLC.

Three towel ranges, specified differently
Towels are the line item a property replaces most often, so the choice is usually about how a towel behaves after two hundred industrial launderings rather than how it feels in the showroom.
Signature, in white. Bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and face cloths, with the woven herringbone border that runs across the range. Supima extra-long staple cotton, made in Portugal.
Signature
Supima cotton. One hundred per cent extra-long staple yarn, grown in the American west and southwest. Longer staple gives a softer and longer-lasting cloth. The matching bath mat is 900GSM and oversized. White and ivory. Made in Portugal.
Renew
Evolution™ yarn, no PVA. Matches the texture and volume of a zero-twist towel while eliminating PVA plastic from manufacture — a twist technique rather than a coating. Ribbed hem, matching ribbed mat. White, ivory, silver, taupe and pink. Made in Portugal.
Empire
Egyptian cotton, hotel finish. Double-row embroidered border in white, silver, gold or navy, with matching bath mats. Co-ordinates with the Empire bedding, robes and slippers for a single specification across the room. Made in Portugal.
Robes and slippers. Velour Empire robes have a pure Egyptian cotton velour face over absorbent towelling inside, with a piped edge, in white and navy. Matching slippers.
Shown in white with navy piping — a shawl collar, patch pockets and a self-tie belt. There is also an Amalfi beach towel for resort and pool.
Duvets and pillows, two fills
White Goose Down
90/10 white goose down and feather, in 10 TOG and 7.5 TOG. Matching pillow. The warmer specification, for properties that run cold rooms or cooler seasons.
Luxury Dream
Premium polyester fill in 7.5 TOG and 4.5 TOG, tailored inside a 300 thread count cotton percale cover with a piped edge. Matching pillow. The washable, allergen-friendly and lower-cost alternative.
Bone china, four designs
Fine white bone china in a twelve-piece dinner set and a four-piece mug set, in Empire, Ares, Renata and Paxton — the same design names as the bedding, so a suite can be specified end to end. This sits alongside our sustainable dining and hospitality F&B categories rather than replacing them.
